Overview

Fat Transfer

While surgeons have been transferring fat to the face and other parts of the body for many years, our principal surgeon, Dr Allan Kalus, was one of the first to introduce this specific technique to Australia in 2013, after he recognised that patients were seeking a more natural alternative to breast implants.

Founded by Dr Kalus, who has more than 30 years’ experience in aesthetic plastic surgery, Fat Transfer Australia can help you to achieve results that look and feel natural.

If you are considering breast augmentation, gel or saline filled implants are no longer your only option. In fact, Fat Transfer in many cases is preferable, due to its wide application and long-lasting results.

What Is Fat Transfer?

Large volume Fat Transfer (also referred to as Fat Grafting), as established by Fat Transfer Australia, is the transfer of fat, from one part of the body to another, as a living graft of your own tissue.

This technique can create a modest increase in breast size while rebalancing the figure. It is suitable for women who are within a healthy body mass index (BMI) range and who have some excess fat that can be removed from their abdomen, hips or thighs.

Fat Transfer

Why Fat Transfer?

Many patients and aesthetic surgeons agree that Fat Transfer can deliver more natural results compared to implants.

As only tiny incisions are used to transfer the fat, patients experience less scarring compared to other breast surgery procedures.

What’s more, the liposuction which is used to harvest the fat helps women to balance their figure, improving the contour of their body and, in some cases, helping them go down a dress size.

Advanced Techniques for Optimal Results

We have established advanced techniques to help produce optimal results. Our experienced surgeons use specially designed cannulas and surgical instruments to give the fat cells the maximum chance of survival. Special massage and moulding techniques are used to give the breast a smoother and uniform shape.
